The Gospel Music Association accepts entries from Professional GMA members and previously approved record labels and print publishers.

What is the difference between voting and submitting?
Previously approved record labels and print publishers, and Professional GMA members submit entries for consideration for a Dove Award nomination. GMA members vote on two ballots (which are derived from the submitted entries-see the Policy & Procedures Manual for more details); first to determine the final nominees, and second to determine the Dove Award winners.

How do I register my product with SoundScan?
See www.cmta.com and click the “SoundScan” button, or www.soundscan.com and click the “Register Product with Nielsen SoundScan” button. To be eligible, product can be registered with either Christian SoundScan or mainstream SoundScan.

When does an album have to be released for it to be eligible?
The eligibility period for all award categories, other than 1 through 7, shall be 12 months beginning on the 1st day of November and ending on the 31st day of October prior to the presentation of the awards.

How do I perform or present on the Dove Awards show?
You will need to obtain the Pitching Guidelines. They are provided by the Producer of the Dove Awards show in or around the month of December. You can be sent a copy of the Pitching Guidelines via email by calling the GMA office at 615-242-0303 or 1-800-GMA-3211 and providing your email address. Be sure to follow the directions very closely and include all materials requested.
