Biography
Michael Adams

Saxophonist - Michael is a sax player who has felt God's call to CCM and has refocused his life on discovering where God would place him in the profession. From his start in school and his dad's church to now, God has always and continues to bless his ability and playing. He felt the call to music as early as college but did not truly hear it and recognize God's promptings until recent years. Michael is an educated Electrical Engineer with a M.S.E.E. from Johns Hopkins University and equally excels in his career, although his job is now regarded as a way to provide for his family. Michael's God given ability, persistence, desire and love to play sax drives him in pursuing a career in contemporary Christian music.

Additional Information
Michael grew up in FL and began playing saxophone at age 14 and excelled as a player throughout school. His senior year culminated with the opportunity to play in a district jazz band sponsored by the University of North Florida and a performance with a regional orchestra sponsored by Troy State University in Alabama.

During college, Michael played in the jazz band at UCF and studied under the saxophone professor, Charles Schwab. College gave him the opportunities to play with guest saxophonists such as Frank Foster, Bob Berg, and Jim Snidero. In 1995, Michael studied jazz improvisation with professional saxophonist, Todd Dunn who worked for Walt Disney World.

Being the son of a pastor, Michael has continuously played sax in church and has been blessed with musical churches while living in Orlando and currently Maryland. The current church offers an extraordinary contemporary band to play sax in and regular solos locally and district wide for the Church of the Nazarene. Michael has also had opportunities to sit in with a local christian rock band, Holy Smoke and additionally as a guest at the lead singers church. In 2004 he began recording a demo and in the summer he was pre-selected to perform at the AtlantaFest talent competition. There he gained the respect of a panel of judges from Nashville and received high complements with one being the suggestion to make CDs, yet to come.
