GMA represents your interests of its Organizational Members in a number of powerful ways:
- For the past three years, GMA has been a co-sponsor of Recording Arts Day in Washington D.C., which helps bring awareness of music industry issues to the attention of Members of Congress and their staffs.
- GMA is one of 20 organizations included in a semi-annual, closed-door meeting of the CEOs of national music industry organizations to dialogue about various issues of importance to the music community. Participating organizations include the RIAA, Recording Academy, NMPA, Harry Fox Agency, AFM, AFTRA, CMA, CMPA, SoundExchange, ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, Songwriters Guild, NSAI, Recording Artists Coalition, etc.
- We are in Washington D.C. several times each year to speak with Members of Congress on behalf of GMA members regarding key legislative issues, based of priorities set by GMA's Government Relations Committee.
- GMA serves as a "face" and "voice" to local and national media on behalf of gospel music.
- GMA collects and distributes data on all facets of gospel music.
