JOINING THE GMA
Membership in the Gospel Music Association is more than direct benefits - access to industry resources, discounts to first-class events, or the opportunity to vote in the GMA Dove Awards. Becoming a GMA member means uniting with the best and brightest in our industry, who selflessly set aside personal agendas in order to work together to extend the reach of the good news of Jesus Christ through music of all styles.
To put this in more practical terms, here is a sampling of what the GMA has been up to this past year:
- Advocacy efforts with members of Congress and other governmental agencies on issues like digital rights, music piracy, and other concerns affecting GMA members.
- Developing top-notch events like GMA Music in the Rockies and the GMA Academy that provide professional and spiritual growth opportunities to tomorrow's artists, songwriters, and worship leaders.
- Producing high quality industry marketing materials, including DVDs and brochures, to attract media and sponsorship opportunities to GMA members.
- Sharpening the skills of over 3,000 industry professionals that attend GMA Music Week.
- Honoring the best in music through the GMA Dove Awards and showcasing their talents on national television.
- Developing the "Ethical Revolution" campaign, in conjunction with the National Council of Faith-Based Youth, to both fight music piracy and bring awareness to ethical decision making in our youth.
