Franklin, Tenn – 5 Feb. 2015 – The new year is in full swing at Show Hope. With a brand new executive director, upcoming ETC (Empowered to Connect) conferences, and the Sam’s Place concert series benefitting Show Hope running through May, the Show Hope team is excited for the busy year ahead. Founded in 2003 by multi-award winning Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife Mary Beth, a New York Times’ best-selling author, Show Hope is a nonprofit organization that helps restore the hope of a family to orphans in distress.
LEADERSHIP
Announced in late 2014, Show Hope welcomes Mike Hamilton as its new Executive Director. Prior to joining the Show Hope team, Mike Hamilton served as the President of Engagement with Blood:Water Mission. He has extensive experience in leadership and development with 26 years in intercollegiate athletics at Clemson University, Wake Forest University and the University of Tennessee, serving at the University of Tennessee for nearly 20 years, eight as Athletic Director. Hamilton also served on the board for Show Hope and Blood:Water Mission, among other local, regional and national nonprofits.
EMPOWERED TO CONNECT (ETC) CONFERENCES
Show Hope continues its Empowered To Connect (ETC) Conferences this year. The ETC Conference is a two-day event designed for pre or post-adoptive or foster families and professionals. Attendees will receive much-needed guidance and support to help them better understand how to connect with children from hard places in order to help their children heal and become all that God intended for them to be.
The first conference, led by Led by Dr. Karyn Purvis, will take place in Santa Ana (southern California) on February 13-14th. A special Live Simulcast from San Antonio will be held April 10-11th, where you can host the upcoming live simulcast at your local church or event center. The last 2015 conference will be held in Minneapolis on Sept. 18-19th.

SAM’S PLACE AT THE RYMAN
Steven Curtis Chapman continues his hosting duties at the newly revived monthly concert series, “Sam’s Place – Music for the Spirit” at Nashville’s Mother Church, the Ryman Auditorium. The remainder of the series will resume on February 15. “Sam’s Place – Music for the Spirit” invites artists from all genres of music to share songs with an uplifting spiritual message and pay homage to the Ryman’s tabernacle roots.
Throughout each “Sam’s Place,” Chapman shares about the message of Show Hope, and proceeds of ticket sales go to the ministry. The February 15 show will feature guest artists Josh Turner, Aaron Watson, Ellie Holcomb, Point of Grace and Sugarland’s Kristian Bush.

ABOUT SHOW HOPE: Since its inception, Show Hope has helped provide forever homes through Adoption Aid grants for more than 4,500 orphans from 50+ countries, including the U.S. In addition, more than 1,600 orphans with special needs have received critically needed medical care through Show Hope’s Special Care Centers, giving them a hope for a family and a future.
